Founded in 2018 by visionary Bangladeshi engineer Joy Barua Lablu, Robolife Technologies was established with financial support from the Bangladesh Government’s Department of Information and Communication Technology. Inspired by a personal encounter with an amputee, Joy was driven to create affordable and accessible robotic prosthetics to empower those who have lost their limbs.
At the heart of our work is our flagship product — a robotic prosthetic hand developed using low-cost, proprietary technology. This advanced prosthetic operates through EMG muscle signal sensors, which detect muscle activity in the user’s remaining limb. This intuitive control allows users to perform everyday tasks such as grasping objects and eating, restoring independence and improving quality of life.
